Introduction
The Talent Empowerment Department (TED) plays a vital role in supporting the Vision and Mission of Horizon University College (HUC) by formulating effective policies that foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. TED is committed to recruiting, retaining, motivating, engaging, and developing a team of competent and dedicated Academic and Academic Support Services staff who are aligned with the strategic goals of HUC.
To ensure faculty and staff remain responsive to the dynamic demands of the academic environment, TED provides regular updates and support. The department also coordinates need-based professional development programs to keep employees up to date with evolving trends and best practices in higher education.
Goals

Recruitment & Selections
- To ensure an effective recruitment process, the Faculty Staff Search Committee (FSSC) is established, comprising the President, the TED In-Charge, and the relevant Head of Department (HOD). The committee is responsible for identifying qualified candidates for vacant positions through various sourcing channels.
- The Faculty Staff Search Committee (FSSC) initiates the recruitment process based on vacancies arising from resignation, termination, retirement, promotion, or the need for additional staff due to institutional growth or expansion.
- The Head of Department, in coordination with TED and the President, conducts annual workforce planning to assess staffing needs and recruit suitable candidates for current openings.
